The Valdez Youth Wrestling Club is a non profit organization made up of a volunteer coaching staff and Board of Directors. The success of our club is very much attributed to the community, children, and parental support of Valdez, Alaska.

This wrestling program was designed for youth, ages 6-18. We believe that this sport builds character, promotes discipline, and teaches the individual to set and achieve goals in life.

We provide instruction on 3 different styles of wrestling, coaching at inter-club, state and regional competitions, provide physical conditioning, promote strong work ethics, good sportsmanship, discipline, perseverance, and self esteem.

 

The Valdez Youth Wrestling Club is committed to developing a strong foundation for wrestlers, aligning themselves with the Valdez Middle School and High School programs, and we will continue to work towards this goal, with the assistance of Coaches Isaac Deaton and Austin Rake (middle school and high school coaches). 

Safety is our first and primary concern for all wrestlers! We will continually monitor the practice session for any safety concerns, and if you see any issues, please notify the coaches.
